كل لاعب عليه ان يختار ماذا يريد من محاربه ان يكون وهذه الاصناف هي

1- مسبب الضرر(dps) : حيث من الاسم فهو يكون قوي من ناحية التسبب بالضرر للاعداء
2- الشافي(healer): يشفي الاعبين الذين معه ومفيد جدا للمجموعات.
3- ال tank : يكون يتحمل الضرر بشكل كبير بحيث يجعل الاعداء يقاتلونه بينما يقوم مسببوا الضرر بقتلهم.

أي شخصية تفضلها؟ ها هو السؤال الذي سيسأله قبل دخول دنيا مجهول في اللعبة World of Warcraft. وبعد اختيار الحلف لا بد من اختيار الصنف وشخصيته. لكل عرق بضعة الأصناف المناسبة. من خلال الحياة في اللعبة سيتعلم اللاعب أو اللاعبة مهارات ونوبات وافرة جاوز عددها 1000. الصنف هو العنصر الحاسم لتحديد المهارات والنوبات المتخصصة بلاعب أو لاعبة. فيما يلي الأصناف وميزاتها لبعض الأعراق وكذلك نماذج المهارات ونوبات بالتفاصيل عن كل الأصناف لا يستهان بها في العالم World of Warcraft.

ساحر الغابة (Druids)

يستطيع ان يتحول لبعض الحيوانات غير امتلاكه قدرات سحرية في القتال.

Druids are the keepers of the world. Locked in slumber for generations, they awoke to meet the threat of the Burning Legion during its recent invasion. After Archimonde's defeat, the Druids chose to remain in the waking world and help to rebuild their shattered lands. The Legion's attack left a terrible scar on the natural order, and the Druids seek to heal it.

يعتبر هجين حيث يستطيع التحول لاكثر من نوع من الاصناف ولكل كل تحول يكون اضعف بقليل من الصنف بحد ذاته ، يستطسع الاعب ان يختار ان يستخدم الاسلحة بالقتال او السحر عن بعد .

صياد (Hunters)

يستخدم البندقية او القوس بشكل اساسي,ويستطيع ان يربي مخلوق يساعده في القتال.

Some are friendly, some are ferocious and aggressive - yet they all have one thing in common. Each creature shares a special connection with Hunters. Hunters track, tame and slay all manner of animals and beasts found in the wilds. Whether they rely on bows or firearms, Hunters consider their weapons and pets to be their only true friends.

ومن اسمه فهو صياد يملك حيوان يساعده في القتال و يقاتل عن بعد باستخدام القوس وهو يعتبر من الاصناف التي تلحق الضرر بالاعداء و ساشرح هذا الموضوع لاحقا.

Mages

له قوى الثلج و النار والهواء والماء ويمتاز بها في القتال.

The Mages of Warcraft once centered their powers within the mageocracy of Dalaran. After that kingdom's destruction by the Burning Legion, however, the arcane arts spread to the far corners of the world.

من الاسم فهو يستخدم السحر عن بعد وايضا يعتبر من الاصناف الملحقة للضرر ولديه ميزة فتح مداخل للوصول للمدن .

تصنيف الشخصية: Primary Ranged Magic Damage Dealer

الفارس المضيء (Paladins)

يستخدم الاسلحة القديمة ,وله قدرات سحرية تساعده في القتال.

Upholders of the Holy Light and defenders of the Alliance, the Paladins can be found from the northern forests of the Tirisfal Glades, fighting back the advance of the Forsaken, to the southern reaches of the Blasted Lands, ceaselessly upholding their vigil against demonic forces from beyond the Dark Portal. Wielding their mighty hammers and the strength of the Light, these holy warriors command forces in battle, all the while throwing themselves to where the fighting is the thickest.

يعتبر من المحاربين الذين لديهم القدرة الاساسية المحاربة عن قرب (باستخدام الاسلحة) والفرعية استخدام السحر عن بعد و يستطيع اللاعب اختيار ان يكون اما ملحق للضرر او شافي او ما يعرف ب tanking (سيتم شرح هذه التسميات لاحقا).

الكاهن (Priests)

يمتلك قدرات سحرية للشفاء وايقاظ الميت ,يستخدم اللعنات في القتال.

Priests lead the many faiths spread throughout the disparate lands of the world of Azeroth. In Kalimdor, Night Elf Priestesses revere the moon goddess Elune, while Dwarven priests in Khaz Modan deliver the message of the Light to their people. In the ruins of Lordaeron, the undead priests of the Forsaken, their faith twisted and tainted by their tortured existences, spread a dark interpretation of the Holy Light. Regardless of their faith, however, all Priests share in their ability to manipulate the minds of those who turn to them for spiritual guidance.

وهو بشكل اساسي يعتبر شافي ولكن يستطيع الاعب ان يستخدمه كملحق للضرر و هو في كلتا الحالتان يستخدم السحر.

المحتال (Rogues)

يستخدم الاسلحة ولكن بخفة ,يعتمد في اسلوبه الاختفاء عن الانظار وهذه ميزته.

At home in the shadows and skilled at disappearing from sight, the Rogues of Azeroth are most comfortable when acting in the background. Twisting events to their favor, striking only when advantage is greatest: this is where a Rogue excels. With their cunning tricks, physical abilities, and mastery of concealment and disguise, Rogues have no trouble finding employment as thieves, cutthroats, spies, and assassins.

يعتبر افضل ملحق للضرر حيث يستطيع حمل سلاحين و الاختفاء ومهاجمة الاعداء من الخلف .
